Gun, weapons and drugs seized from Chilliwack man

A Chilliwack gang associate is facing possible gun and drug-related charges following an investigation by the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of British Columbia (CFSEU-BC).

Chilliwack gun seizure 2013The 48-year-old Chilliwack man was arrested July 02, 2013 following the execution of two search warrants in the 9700-block of Sidney Street and 8500-block of Aitken Road.

Officers seized a stolen sawed off shotgun, two over-capacity loaded magazines, two empty pistol magazines, and a crossbow, large amount of ammunition, gun-cleaning kit, crystal methamphetamine, scales and money counters.

“This investigation is part of CFSEU-BC’s ongoing targeted enforcement of gang members and their associates who use violence to further their criminal activities,” says CFSEU-BC spokesperson Sgt. Lindsey Houghton.

The investigation began in April 2013.

CFSEU-BC is an integrated provincial law enforcement agency that targets gangs and organized crime members who put the public’s safety at risk. The Lower Mainland District Emergency Response Team assisted during the execution of the search warrants.
