Working within the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit – BC (CFSEU-BC), the Organized Crime Agency of BC (OCABC) is recruiting an enthusiastic candidate for a senior position in the Fleet & Equipment Team. Reporting to the Equipment Supervisor this position will be responsible for:

• Acting for the Equipment Supervisor and assist with training the Fleet & Equipment Technicians
• Building / maintaining rapport with outside agencies, dealerships & vendors for service, repairs and accidents and using those contacts to obtain vehicles for evaluation
• Maintaining fleet vehicles through reparation while ensuring that vehicle maintenance schedules and safety recall notices are maintained
• Updating and maintaining the fleet database
• Liaising with CFSEU-BC employees to determine fleet and equipment (i.e. cameras, phones, voice privacy encrypted radios, & security systems, etc.) demands
• Sourcing / evaluating / acquiring fleet & equipment and provide guidance on the use of vehicles and equipment to CFSEU-BC employees
• Ensuring safety standards of equipment is maintained and troubleshoot / repair problem equipment
• Supply logistical support to investigative teams during arrests / searches
• Coordinating office / building repair and maintenance duties as required
• Overseeing the emergency equipment and encrypted radio installations
• Liaising with District Offices on a regular basis for vehicles and equipment needs
• Liaising with the Radio Shop and maintaining / repairing CFSEU-BC encrypted radios
• Providing assistance with moves and transportation of items for other sections upon request
• Other duties as requested to assist the Equipment Supervisor meet unit service delivery

We are looking for a strong team player with a great attitude, with the following qualifications:

• High school completion plus some additional courses in basic computer skills. Mechanical and/or technical studies would be an asset
• Minimum 3 – 5 years of relevant experience, preferably with installing mobile radios and related emergency equipment or working in a policing environment
• Ability to manage stress, multi-task and switch easily between diverse tasks
• Excellent interpersonal skills and strong customer focus
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written
• Maintain a valid driver’s license in good standing
• Working technical and mechanical knowledge
• Ability to obtain and maintain an RCMP security clearance

Annual Salary: $57,680.42 – $60,826.62 – $63,745.54 based on 37.5 hours per week
